Shadow of the Mind’s Eye was the largest scale production done by Floating Goatee Productions with the assistance of various friends and their unique talents. A story inspired by Star Wars and filmed in various areas of East Orlando, it tells the tale of the Duelists and their struggles against the evil Onslaught. What was originally envisioned to be a four part story, it ultimately only had two short films produced.
The first was Shadow of the Mind’s Eye, filmed in 2003 and edited repeatedly until it’s final version in 2007. The story covered a mysterious set of circumstances that led two Duelists to investigate the theft and sabotage of their technology. All is not as it seems however, and there may be treachery in the Duelist’s ranks that will challenge the order and everything it is built upon.
A prequel series of films was to be established in 2004. The first story in that series was named Judgment of the Past. Extensive footage was lost in the recording process. More footage was filmed in 2005 to help complete a story. The film was ultimately finished in 2006. Continued edits were made until it reached it’s final form in 2007. The story tells the tale of the Duelists fight against Onslaught. Loyalty and integrity will be questioned as the Duelists contend with their foe.
